Bradford & Barthel's Ted Cornforth To Become LBO's Newest WCJ
Ted Cornforth will be leaving his post as Managing Attorney of Bradford & Barthel, LLP's Fullerton office. Effective March 2nd, Mr. Cornforth will be trading in his manager’s hat for judge’s robes and taking on his recent appointment to the Long Beach WCAB District Office.

After his discharge from active duty in late 1969, Mr. Cornforth obtained his teaching credentials and taught high school for two years in Hacienda Heights, California. He then attended Southwestern University School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 1975. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in December of 1975.

Mr. Cornforth joined Bradford & Barthel in December, 1999. He initially practiced at the B&B Rancho Cucamonga office. He subsequently transferred to the B&B Fullerton office, where he took on the role of Managing Attorney.

Mr. Cornforth has been married to his wife, Laurie, for nearly 35 years. They have three grown children.


Bradford & Barthel’s Jan Metheny Takes Charge of Fullerton Offices
The Law Offices of Bradford & Barthel, LLP recently announced that effective March 2, 2009, Jan D. Metheny will take over the management of B&B's Fullerton office. Fullerton’s Managing Attorney position became open as a result of the current manager, Theodore W. Cornforth, announcing his appointment as the newest WCJ at the Long Beach WCAB District Office.

Mr. Metheny's credentials include a Juris Doctor Degree from Whittier School of Law; a Masters Degree in Education/Linguistics from Temple University (Philadelphia, PA), where he graduated Magna Cum Laude; a business degree from Maryland University (also Magna Cum Laude); and an Undergraduate Degree from Pacific Western University in communications.

Prior to defending workers' compensation cases, Mr. Metheny associated with the Public Defender's Office in Orange County. This criminal law background proved invaluable for workers' compensation case development, including all stages of discovery, witness interviewing, conducting depositions, and trial work. Mr. Metheny takes an aggressive and proactive approach that regularly results in Uquot;Take NothingsUquot; at Trial.

Mr. Methany speaks fluent Japanese. He has lived and worked abroad for many years.


Bradford & Barthel’s Craig Morrison Takes Charge of Sacramento Offices
The Law Offices of Bradford & Barthel, LLP recently announced that, effective February 10th, 2009, Craig Morrison, Esq. took over the management of B&B's Sacramento office.

Given Mr. Morrison’s long history in the insurance industry (a history that includes several years as a Claims Litigation Case Manager at Zurich and Hanover Insurance), Mr. Morrison’s aggressive approach to defending workers' compensation matters makes him the "perfect fit" to lead the B&B Sacramento offices. Mr. Morrison's legal career has been exclusively dedicated to the defense of workers’ compensation claims.
