Bill Brown was born in Los Angeles, California. He received his Bachelor's degree in 1975 and a Master's degree in 1979. He played on both the baseball and soccer teams in college.
In 1979 Mr. Brown was hired as a deputy sheriff with the Ventura County Sheriff's Department, and he continued in that employment until 1989. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Ventura College of Law in 1988.
Mr. Brown initially practiced criminal law with an emphasis in juvenile delinquency law. However, since practicing workers' compensation defense at Bradford & Barthel, LLP, he states: "I have finally found my home and wish that I had found this area of law sooner in my career."
Currently Mr. Brown plays on an adult baseball (not softball) league and has been playing every year since 1994. He regularly attends baseball tournaments over the Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas and the National tournaments in Phoenix, Arizona in October. In tournament play, he has played on 30-and-over teams, 40-and-over teams, and one time on a 50-and-over team.
