Claudia Peterson, born and raised in California, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in 1977 from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Ms. Peterson earned a paralegal degree from UCLA Extension and worked as a paralegal until 1980 when she enrolled in Southwestern University School of Law. She received her Juris Doctorate in 1983 and was admitted to the State Bar of California in June of 1984 and to the Federal District Court (Central District of California) in 1988. The same year, she became a member of the County Bar Association (Workers' Compensation Division).
Ms. Peterson joined the law firm of Bradford & Barthel in June of 2001, practicing out of the firm's Fullerton office and specializing in workers' compensation defense, although she also occasionally assists the subrogation department.
Previous legal experience includes 20 years of practicing workers' compensation law as well as other areas of civil litigation. She practiced workers' compensation defense law for a year and a half with the Law Office of David Shepard, approximately two and a half years as staff counsel for AIG, and a little over one year with Laughlin, Falbo, Levy & Moresi in their Irvine office.
Ms. Peterson has four sons, David age 18, Jeffery age 14, Robert age 12, and Thomas age 7. When possible she helps out at her sons' school and sports teams in Villa Park, California.
