Profile

Farai M. Kadzirange attended Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and she graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business and French. Ms. Kadzirange completed her joint degree program in 3 1/2 years, having taken off one semester to work at the Epcott Center at Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Florida.

Prior to enrolling in law school, Ms. Kadzirange spent a year traveling as a "working holidaymaker" in England and visiting relatives in Zimbabwe. Her travels in Southern Africa have also taken her to Botswana, Zambia, and South Africa. Ms. Kadzirange received her Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia in 2002. She describes her greatest adventure during law school as joining a fledgling church band on the keyboard—with no prior experience on any musical instrument! The band was quite good by the time Ms. Kadzirange completed her legal studies. After graduation, Ms. Kadzirange immediately rejoined her family in Northern California and passed the Bar exam on her first attempt. She was accepted to the State Bar of California in 2003.

Prior to joining Bradford & Barthel in 2005, Ms. Kadzirange previously worked as a defense attorney in asbestos-related complex civil litigation. Her more recent experience was as an applicant's attorney in the area of workers' compensation. Her familiarity with the applicant bar's approach to handling workers' compensation claims is most certainly an asset in defending insurance carriers' interests.
