Frederic B. Mugler was born in San Franciso and raised in San Luis Obispo along the Central Coast. He graduated with honors from the University of California, Berkeley with a major in anthropology.
He later received a Masters degree in Social Welfare from Berkeley and was employed as a clinical social worker before attending the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate.
After passing the bar, Mr. Mugler worked for several years as a civil litigator in San Jose and Oakland. Since 1998, his practice has primarily consisted of workers' compensation defense.
Outside the office Mr. Mugler's interests include spending time with his wife, hiking, and travel. He also follows the San Francisco Giants and the 49'ers.
