Kermit Sprang was born and raised in South Dakota, coming to California in 1963. He graduated the University of California, Riverside, with a degree in Political Science (with honors) in 1971. Mr. Sprang earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall), in 1974.
Mr. Sprang has practiced law in California for the past 35 years. His work history includes work with some of the largest Workers' Compensation firms in California. His practice has included the defense of Workers' Compensation, Serious & Willful, and Labor Code §132a actions, workers compensation and property/casualty subrogation, as well as the defense of civil liability claims. He is currently Southern California litigation counsel for The Sports Authority.
Mr. Sprang is admitted to practice before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeal, the Northern, Central and Southern California Federal District Courts, and the U.S. Court of Claims.
Mr. Sprang's varied and extensive legal background enables him to take an aggressive, proactive approach in moving cases towards a favorable settlement, whenever possible, or on to trial when in the client's best interest. He takes particular pride in his accessibility with his clients, and works aggressively to move his cases to a prompt and favorable resolution, or on to trial on the issues.
