Maureen Blair, a native Californian, was born and raised in Santa Paula, California. She attended California State University Northridge (Ventura campus) where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles.
Ms. Blair began her career in workers’ compensation as an Applicants' Hearing Representative where she defended hundreds of depositions and took charge of a large caseload. After years on the (wrong) Applicant's side of the street, she realized her true calling as a defense attorney and joined the State Compensation Insurance Fund where she gained significant experience handling a volume caseload. One of the areas of the practice most favored by Ms. Blair was her ability to staff cases directly with adjusters who sat in close proximity to the legal department. She was keenly aware of and interested in the immense satisfaction it brought to both her and her client when she could personally meet them and hand over the results of a closure brought about by her successful negotiations. Ms. Blair brings this enthusiasm and experience to Bradford & Barthel's Ventura office and is readily available to handle cases at the Oxnard, Goleta, Grover Beach and Bakersfield venues.
Outside of her work activities, Ms Blair is an accomplished world traveler and the single mother of a toddler.
