Monica A. Coats received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business with an emphasis in Management from California State University, Fresno in 1983. Ms. Coats received her Juris Doctorate from San Joaquin College of Law in 1987. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1988 and is currently a member in good standing of the Fresno County Bar Association and the Fresno Industrial Claims Association (FICA).
During law school Ms. Coats clerked with a firm that specialized in agricultural and employment law. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Coats worked as a research attorney for the Fresno Superior Court. She then practiced in the area of employment law until 1993, when workers' compensation became her primary area of practice.
Ms. Coats has been with Bradford & Barthel since 2001.
