Ted Cornforth, a California native by birth, obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies in 1964 at San Jose State University. He received a Masters in Latin American History from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1966.
In addition to over three years of active duty in the United States Navy, beginning in 1966, Mr. Cornforth served in the Naval Reserve for 23 years until retirement as a Navy Captain in 1992.
After his discharge from active duty in late 1969, Mr. Cornforth obtained his teaching credentials and taught high school for two years in Hacienda Heights, California. He then attended Southwestern University School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 1975. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in December of 1975.
Mr. Cornforth joined Bradford & Barthel in December, 1999 and practiced at the Rancho Cucamonga office until April of 2003. From December of 1999 through January of 2006, he was the Managing Attorney at the firm's Fullerton office. As of September of 2007, he resumed his position of Managing Attorney of the Fullerton office.
Previous legal experience includes nearly 24 years with the law firm of Jones, Nelson, Screeton & Cornforth from 1976 until November of 1999. He was a partner with that law firm for nearly 20 years.
Mr. Cornforth has been married to his wife, Laurie, for nearly 35 years, and they have three grown children.
Activities in the community include membership at Orange First Presbyterian Church in Orange, California for many years.
