Timothy W. Rose (Tim) was born and raised in Cypress, California before leaving to attend San Diego State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honoros in Political Science and Marketing in 2000. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in July, 2007. He was able to complete law school and pass the California State Bar while working full-time.
Mr. Rose began working in the workers' compensation and insurance arenas in 2003 when he went to work for American International Group, Inc. (AIG) as a claims examiner. He quickly became a senior claims examiner and the senior of a unit that handled construction claims. He has received recognition for his defense strategies on claims, as well as his work in fraud prevention, investigation, and lien resolution and dismissals.
In 2004, Mr. Rose was recommended to pilot an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) program, handling Workers' Compensation claims with union members, outside of the WCAB arena. By the time of his departure in 2008, this program became quite successful and branched out to multiple unions and employers. Mr. Rose performed legal research, took depositions, and litigated multiple issues and claims at many mediations and arbitrations/trials, representing the defendants. After leaving AIG, he joined Insurance Company of the West, Inc. (ICW Group) in 2008 as a senior claims examiner, and he was also considered for a management position with the company.
Mr. Rose has an eight-year-old daughter, Aurora. He and "the love of his life, " Kim, are expecting a son, Ethan, in September, 2009. Mr. Rose earned the rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the "Order of the Arrow." He is currently a troop Dad and "Cookie Dad" for his daughter's Girl Scout troop. Mr. Rose enjoys playing basketball, golf, reading, and trivia games, and he is a political "blogger" and a contributor/guest on multiple political "blog" sites on the internet.
