Anita Abd was born in Alexandria, Virginia and was raised in Chico, California. Ms. Abd obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2003. Thereafter, she obtained her MBA from Cal Poly in 2005. While attending Cal Poly, she worked as a paralegal for Applicant Attorney, William A. Herreras and gained a vast amount of knowledge as to the Workers’ Compensation arena. Anita attended court alongside Mr. Herreras several days a week and met with clients, communicated settlement offers, stipulated awards and worked with other parties in the case towards bringing the case to a resolution. Anita obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Ventura College of Law in 2010. While attending law school, she worked full time as a civil litigation assistant at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP in Los Angeles. While at Ventura College of Law, she was elected Co-President of Student Bar Association and Vice-Dean of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity as well as being an active member of the student body. She also obtained her mediation certificate and interned at Ventura Center for Dispute Settlement. On her spare time, Anita likes to swim, hike, and enjoy the outdoors.
