David E. Jones received his Juris Doctor degree from Western State University College of Law in 1991. Since becoming a member of the California State Bar in 1991 he has concentrated exclusively on the defense of insurance carriers and employers in the Workers’ Compensation field. He was a partner in the firm of Ayres & Jones until the untimely passing of Mr. Ayres. He authored a handbook on Labor Code Subsection 132a, “Discrimination in Workers’ Compensation: a Guide for Employers and Insurance Professionals”. He also has extensive trial experience and a number of “Take Nothing” decisions over the years, including three in 2010. Prior to studying law, he was in law enforcement and attended law school while working as a deputy marshal in Orange County, as a judge’s bailiff. When not working Mr. Jones enjoys his family life with his wife of many years and his adult sons. He enjoys sailing and driving and restoring classic English sports cars and bicycling.
