Mr. Martinez was born in New York and raised in Santa Cruz. He went to College at UC Santa Barbara, where he double-majored in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations and Black Studies. He then went to UC Hastings College of the Law, where in addition to getting his law degree, he met his wife. Previously he worked in landlord-tenant law in the Bay Area and successfully navigated the many technical aspects of Rent Control laws. He has been practicing in the area of Workers’ Compensation since 2002 and is a certified specialist. Mr. Martinez enjoys reading, exercise, chihuahuas, Spring Training Baseball and hitting golf balls (drawing contact most of the time). |
