Mark Tanner was born in Provo, Utah and grew up in Hacienda Heights, California, the oldest of five brothers. He attended San Jose State University on a basketball scholarship and graduated with Great Distinction, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Spanish. He attended Pepperdine School of Law in Malibu graduating in 1982, and he was also admitted to the State Bar of California that year. Mr. Tanner has been practicing workers’ compensation law since 1983, first in San Jose and more recently in San Diego. Mr. Tanner’s hobbies include volleyball, surf kayaking, gardening, and tile mosaics. He has been married for 30 years and has four children and two granddaughters. |
